The rural development initiative of HIVCUS saw the way of the day in 2008 with the People's Panchayat in Chandanpur. But this was just the beginning of a dream that grew from strength to strength every day. Presently the scope of HIVCUS is spread over 16 villages of Kendrapara block. Every month around 6000 people are being led, women, men are being targeted, 500 children are being educated, countless families are being touched and smiles are being shared through New Age Public School. The Rural Development Project is the second venture between the HIVCUS Trust and Joint Health Services, both aiming for a future health and higher education organization with the University of Ayurveda Yoga Unani Homeopathy Medical Sciences. and of which the specific charitable HIVCUS Charitable Hospital in rural and urban areas is the stepping stone to provide 500 bedded hospital and attached general hospital only for HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, Venereal diseases.

For other services, independent crafts will be made on the land donated by Dr. Deenbandhu Nath Sharma at the Rural Development Complex, Chaudkulat and Dobanda, which will create employment for rural women. The main idea behind the rural development initiative is to help in eradicating poverty, gender inequality, bridging the rural and urban gap and achieving eco-social and regional balance to ensure rapid growth and development. The tireless efforts have made the community self-reliant in natural resource management and adopting a sustainable lifestyle.
